We are extremely delighted and honored to reflect on a monumental event that took place in 2015. On Friday, December 18th, one of our clients officially became the world’s first Sephardic Jew to obtain Spanish nationality under the Spanish citizenship law for Sephardi descendants.

In a deeply emotional ceremony at a notary’s office in Spain, our young Sephardic client—descendant of a family with roots dating back to 1492—was granted Spanish citizenship. This moment not only marked a significant personal achievement but also represented a landmark for the Sephardic community worldwide, reaffirming their rich cultural heritage and deep connection to Spain.
